We are pleased to share with you some of the many comments, letters, and references from those with whom we have worked.

Our church has had the opportunity to have Loose Stone in our worhip services on several occasions, and they have been a wonderful blessing to our people. John Rutland and Mark Griffitt are very talented as singers, musicians, and songwriters, and their program includes a good blend of music styles so that they are appreciated by a wide range of listeners. Even more important, they come with a warm Christian spirit and testimony which adds tremendously to the effectiveness of their music. Mark and John have a very cooperative attitude and a commitment to meet the individual needs of each congregation where they sing. I can whole-heartedly recommend them to any church or group that is looking for excellence in Christian music.

I have been blessed to know Mark and John for more than ten years. I have known of their individual talents as songwriters/singers, and upon learning of them coming together as a team, was certain of their ability to inspire and bless their listeners. I can assure you that I was right on this one! Their presentation of songs is excellent in quality and lyrics. But, the most important aspects are their sincere faith in and walk with Jesus Christ and their purpose for singing. They want to share what Jesus has done in their lives in hopes that this will encourage others to trust Him. Loose Stone has sung in our church and I know, from the response of our people, that Mark and John will be invited back. I recommend them to you with the utmost confidence that you will find them to be an inspiration!"

I have known John Rutland and Mark Griffitt for the past 14 years as their pastor. Their music is a delightful blend of styles that will bless a wide range of hearers. Their music honors Jesus and points people to the Savior. They are reverent, humble, flexible, original, and hugely talented and will help you reach your community for Christ. I really enjoy and am blessed by their music. You will be too. I can commend them to you with my highest recommendation as men of Christian character and conviction."

Kenneth Catoe, Pastor, Hagood Avenue Baptist Church

John Rutland and Mark Griffitt, also known as “Loose Stone,” penned “Come Home America,” which became the title cut on their most recent recording project in 2008. The song has received a lot of airtime nationally on Christian music radio stations and will be ... for use by regional, state and local coordinators during National Day of Prayer events."
