Who We Are

Dynamic music; soaring vocals; anointed songs. These phrases describe a unique duo based in Barnwell, SC. Mark Griffitt and John Rutland combine in concert to provide a refreshing blend of lead/harmony vocals complimented by live instruments. Powerful original songs reach and impact all age groups; from 5 to 95. Timeless hymns with exciting arrangements are also included in concert. Mark plays lead/rhythm guitar and sings lead/harmony vocals. John plays bass guitar and also sings lead/harmony vocals. Mark and John collaborate on songwriting, arrangement and production of the music/vocals as a team, combining their talents and experience. Mark and John are born again Christians and members of Hagood Avenue Baptist Church in Barnwell, SC. Loose Stone is available for church concerts, revivals and homecomings. Loose Stone's musical style also allows for Christian concerts at festivals, theme parks and other venues with an emphasis on marketplace ministry. Loose Stone acknowledges it is The Holy Spirit that changes lives. Mark and John are grateful that God is allowing them to use their passion for Christian music as a part of seeing His Kingdom grow.
